Andrew Zimmern Spotted Filming New Show at Pike Place Market

Andrew Zimmern, culinary superstar and titular host of Travel Channel’s Bizarre Foods With Andrew Zimmern, blew through Seattle on Wednesday, September 6, delighting the masses at Pike Place Market while scouting and filming for his new TV show, The Zimmern List. It’s expected to be a much less strange and far more personal mix of reflections on foods Zimmern loves with info about the people who make them and the places they’re served.

Announced this summer, The Zimmern List will run as 18 half-hour episodes, but Travel Channel has not yet announced a premiere date. A rep for Austin’s Ramen Tatsu-ya, where Zimmern filmed in early August, told Eater the series might launch this fall.

While he was in Seattle briefly, Zimmern was spotted eating a cookie, eating a piroshky, holding a fish, making inside jokes about “Big Sexy Tomatoes,” visiting friends, posing for photos, and just generally being affable, as usual. Fans also spotted Zimmern in Portland this week, checking out places like Waffle Window and various food carts. Highlights are below, and anyone with more intel should reach out.
